Paw-Rescue

Paw-rescue is a first aid kit for paw injuries. All things necessary in order to instantly take care of on injured paw is included. One antiseptic wipe, one compress to put on the injury and thin self-adhesive bandage in adapted size. Last, it includes a Pawz dog boot in natural rubber.

This kit is avaliable in four different sizes, S, M, L or XL. Thus, there is one size for all dogs too big to carry any longer distance. Se below.

I asked Ylva Trygger, licensed veterinarian, if she thinks that Paw-rescue can help at paw injury, she answered

Paw-rescue weigths less than 50 grams, has a water repellent cover and its content is in a sealed plastic bag. It can be attached to your dogs leash or collar and always be available.

"Yes, paw injuries are often worsened on the way to the veteri-narian. It would absolutely help the healing if you have the possibility to bandage and protect the wound. A wound heals better if it is protected from dirt and bacteria´s and if it is sewn together as quickly as possible. Also, a paw bandage stops any bleeding so I belive this is a great idea!" Which size should I choose?

S=small fits Border Terrier, Bichon Frise, Cavalier, Dachshund and so on. The Pawz dog boot is 6,4 cm in this size.

M=medium fits Cocker Spaniels, Beagle, Tollers, Keeshond and so on. The Pawz dog boot is 7,6 cm in this size.

L=large fits Akita, German Shephard, Labrador, Rhodesian Ridgeback and so on. The Pawz dog boot is 10,2 cm in this size.

XL=extra large fits Briards, Old english sheepdog, St Bernard and so on. The Pawz dog boot is 12,7 cm in this size.

For the best fit, measure from the bottom of the big heel pad to the tip of the longest toenail. If the paw is in-between two sizes, select the larger size, to make room for a bandage.

Important! Paw-rescue is just an emergency bandage. It should protect your dog on your way home or to the vet. Always make sure to keep a good circulation in the paw. A bandage wrapped to hard could cause more damage than good.
